Fifty One Fine Art Photography is proud to present the first solo exhibition of the work of Jacques Henri Lartigue (1894-1986).
Lartigue left an enormous body of work, consisting of approximately 100.000 snapshots, numerous diaries and about 130 self-composed photo albums, in which he documented his own environment. The world of Lartigue is a universe populated by race cars, airplanes, jumping people and the French bourgeoisie of the 20th century. He experimented with shutter speed and movement and his small stature as a youngster resulted in some unusual framing in his early years. an ongoing dialogue
Vorig jaar brachten Masao Yamamoto en Arpaïs du bois een boek uit bij Lannoo. Where we met was het resultaat van een intense interdisciplinaire samenwerking. Lees meer over het boek. Fifty One Fine Art Gallery brengt nu met Where They Met een tentoonstelling met hun werk.
Yamamoto Masao en ARPAÏS du bois hebben samen een boek gemaakt en dat komen ze op 9 oktober tussen n 17.00 en 19.00 in Copyright in Antwerpen voorstellen.
De foto’s van Yamamoto en de tekeningen van ARPAÏS vormen een wonderlijk nieuw universum.
Fifty One Gallery in Antwerpen opent donderdag 8 september 2011 een nieuwe Saul Leiter expo.
